The Spot Device uses the GPS Satellite System to track location and the commercial satellite system to transmit. Coverage includes virtually all of the continental US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia, and portions of South America, Northern Africa, and North East Asia. Features include: - "OK Button," which sends a signal to your contacts that you're okay
- "Help Button," which sends a signal to your contacts in the event of a non-life threatening emergency
- "9-1-1 Button," which sends a signal and your GPS location to emergency responders near your location
- Requires a one year subscription to the Spot system, available at their website
- Additional subscription above the basic level allows those at home to track your progress on Google Maps
