About The Outfitter at Harpers Ferry
The Outfitter at Harpers Ferry is located about halfway on the Appalachian Trail in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Founded in 1996 by Ron and Laura Clark, The Outfitter has long been a valuable resource for AT thru-hikers and section hikers. At the same time, the hikers have been a valuable resource for us -- we hear what works and what doesn't from hikers who have been living with their gear for months. Our physical store is also staffed by employees with thousands of miles of experience, so feel free to give us a call with any questions you have.
